Autonomous Drilling Systems - Autonomous Operations & Fleet Monitoring
This course helps you to learn how to identify, interpret, and respond to information through the fleet management system to effectively monitor the drill fleet and support continuous operations.
This course focuses on Autonomous Operations, introducing the automated processes that enable fully Autonomous drilling execution.
Learners will explore the Auto Drill Plan Execution (ADPE) function, understanding how automated drilling cycles operate, the required pre-conditions for Autonomous operation, and how operators monitor and control execution to maintain safe and efficient performance.
Participants will also examine key automated machine functions, including Auto Tower Angle operations and their role within both ADPE workflows and standalone automated processes.
The training explains how automation supports drilling precision, operational consistency, and reduced manual intervention while ensuring system stability during Autonomous activities.
In addition, the course introduces fleet monitoring through the SAMS Client platform, enabling operators to supervise multiple machines simultaneously. Learners will develop the ability to monitor operational status, prioritise interventions, respond to alerts, and maintain continuity across Autonomous drilling fleets.
By the end of the course, participants will understand how automation, monitoring systems, and operational decision-making integrate to support reliable large-scale Autonomous drilling operations.
